1 REBUILDING THE (FORMER) KLJ (CATHOLIC YOUTH MOVEMENT) PREMISES BRINGS THE VILLAGE BACK TO LIFEDiest
Given the lack of serious facilities in the immediate vicinity, the Deurne Catholic Youth Movement had set itself the objective of providing, together with the help of volunteers and associations from the village, an accessible multi-purpose building. The re-building, on the former site of the KLU premises, was designed to fit in perfectly with the surroundings. A new not-for-profit association has ensured the efficient execution of the building project and will then be responsible for the management and maintenance of the new premises. Most of the work has be carried out by volunteers. The new premises now serve as a central meeting place where locals and associations in the village can carry out their activities.
