The Centrum Therapeutisch Paardrijden (Center Therapeutic Horseback Riding) is a non-profit organisation that wants to offer wagon-bed riding to people with disabilities. Therefore, the Center will buy a "Tinkerbed" or wagon-bed. A Tinkerbed is a wagon-bed on three wheels that is drawn by two Tinkers (Irish pony's). The use of the Tinkerbed is aimed at persons with severe physical disabilities, multiple disabilities and coma patients. The Tinkerbed is a covered carriage on three wheels with a canvas stretcher between the pony's, on which the person is placed. By the movement of the pony's and their body warmth, the person in the Tinkerbed is moved naturally, which improves the muscle tension, balance, posture, coordination, motor skills and emotional well-being. In addition, the Tinkerbed offers them the possibility to relax and enjoy themselves.
