71 DIMENSION STONE FROM SOUTH HAGELANDZuid-Hageland
This project is the first step of a broad, long-term approach on dimension stone that is commonly found and used in Hageland and is a first exploratory phase in which the focus will be on:
- Information gathering, specifically aimed at the "human story" behind these stones, such as the cultivation and customs and methods of construction with these stones;
- Creating involvement of several actors (experts and local historians, owners of architectural heritage, local authorities and public services,...);
- Increasing interest of the public.
RLZH will therefore take following actions:
- Information gathering and taking interviews with experts and people who work with dimension stone;
- Publication of a brochure, with a press conference;
- Organisation of two storytelling nights and one storytelling walk.
